A typical holiday cruise – sun, days getting longer and longer, temperatures boldly exceeding 20 degrees centigrade will make it a relaxing leisure trip. During the trip we’ll stop in little but charming Italian harbours and havea chance to swim in the sea while anchored.
We’re departing from Palma de Mallorca, capital city of the the island and at the same time the most commonly visited city in Balearic Islands. It is famous for its unique architecture, rich cultural life and vibrant nightlife.
On our way, we’ll stop at Minorca, where we’ll sail through the breathtaking fiord into Mahon. Further on we will continue towards sunny Sardaigne where we’ll stop in the picturesque harbour of Cagliari.
For those who can’t imagine sailing without long passages, we’ll jump to ancient Palermo which used to be in the former cultural capital city of the Kingdom of Sicily followed by the visit to Liparic Islands, with active volcanoes on Vulcano Island and through famous Messina we’ll continue towards Durres in Albania.
Just prior to berthing in Rogoznica, we’ll stop at the Pearl of Adriatic: Dubrovnik, famous for its monuments (especially the Old Town), local cuisine and more recently – starring as King’s Landing in Game of Thrones.
In the course of the cruise there is possibility of mile/hour building. Approximate number of hours/miles:… which will be used for increasing your sailing qualification.
Everyone will have the opportunity to have a go at planning the passage, plotting courses, planning entry and exit from a harbour using not only electronic navigation but also traditional nautical charts. All that of course carefully supervised by the skipper.
After the trip each participant will receive an independent confirmation of hours/miles sailed and a confirmation in their cruising logbook.
